Current Grant Recipients

These programs have been selected by our independent Grant Review committee seeking those that will have the greatest impact in serving uninsured or underinsured women witin Komen Aspen's service area. Please note that Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is not a direct service provider.  Komen Affiliates award grants only to other non-profit organizations, educational institutions and government entities within our defined service area and through our community needs assessment need of Pitkin, Eagle & Garflield counties. In 2013 the Affiliate will be funding nearly $213,000 in community health grants. To date, the Affiliate has invested over $5 million dollars in local programs.

Provides a multi-disciplinary effort between AVH, Radiology Imaging Associates and Komen- all dedicated to provide breast health services to women with medical needs and financial restrictions in the Roaring Fork Valley.

Pathfinders works to optimize the quality of life of cancer survivors by limiting cancer's negative psychologoical, socail and health impacts by providing quality path finding providing education, aid in navigating medical systems, and social, emotional and practical assistance along the entire continuum of care from diagnosis into survivorship.

Community Health Services (CHS) contracts with Pitkin County to provide public health nursing services. The women's health program provides access to preventative services for low income, uninsured, underinsured and at-risk women in the Roaring Fork Valley.

Doctors Plus will work to eliminate known access issues and existing barriers to obtaining breast health care in our community, by providing free screening and diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds, biopsies and surgical consults and case management and patient navigation services to all program eligible patients, NOT limited to Eagle County residents only.

Mission is to change the face of cancer by providing cancer patients with restortiave skin and bodywork treatments including oncology massage, facials, acupuncture, nutritional analysis, yoga, chiropractic and more provided by trained oncology certifed teacnicians and therapists.
