You can not only run/walk for the cure, you can raise pledge dollars too! Ask family, friends, co-workers to donate on your behalf. Pledging can be fun and we will help with some quick and easy ways to raise money.

Giving to Komen makes a difference!
Susan G. Komen for the Cure has been named the top rated charity by Charity Navigator, America's largest independent evaluatior of charities. Why? Of every dollar raised, at least $0.75 goes back into the community to benefit local women and families affected by breast cancer. Komen is one of the largest resources for women affected by breast cancer and one of the largest organizations dedicated to ending breast cancer forever.

So, how do we raise money?!
Send E-Mails
E-Mails are a quick and efficient way to ask for a pledge/donation. Your Race Center has
A letter already drafted for you which you can use to send out to your entire address book.
E-mails will be sent and tracked and you will know when a donation has been made on your behalf. You can either use our template letter, or create your own. The letter will go out with a link that will bring your donor directly to your Personal Page.
Mail Letters
You can encourage donations through letters. Remember, even if a gift arrives after the race date, your donation helps! Your donors can then either send their contribution to the Komen office or visit the web site to donate by credit card.
Matching Program
Many companies participate in a Matching Program. This could double the amount of pledge money you raise. You just have to ask!
Just Ask!
Remember, you are not asking money for yourself. You are raising money to eradicate breast cancer forever and to help those in your community get the life-saving medical and educational information that they need. So Just Ask. Ask your spouse or significant other if they can pass the word around the office. Ask your family. Ask your friends. Ask your co-workers. Every pledge dollar makes a difference.
Tinkled Pink Team Contest
This year, teams can also help raise money and have fun by decorating a “Tinkled Pink” port-o-potty at Rio Grande Park before the Race for the Cure. Tinkled Pink potties will be judged with $1 donations, and the team with the most donations wins bragging rights and the traveling trophy!
